A while back I saw that you had a large reptile enclosure (wooden) I was wondering if you still have it. I have a Chinese Water Dragon in need of a larger home.

Hi Beth, I’m not in the center for a few days unfortunately, but if you call the front desk they should have that information for you.

  2. Faith Milks says:

Hi I was wondering if you have any 100 plus aquariums. My river cooter trutle is getting bigger and needs a larger size tank.

Hi Faith – We may have one. Someone was looking at it yesterday but I am not sure if it sold. If you call the front desk at 718 682 4878 either Ian or Mary Ann can take a peak in the store for you.

  3. Am looking for a feral cat shelter that is insulated. Do you know anyone who sells them besides online.

    Hi NEWC,
I just wanted to let someone know that NEWC can be linked to a donation list on AMAZON.COM.You select the items needed on Amazon.for NEWC and people on the NEWC SITE CAN DIRECTLY CLICK ON WHAT THEY WANT TO DONATE.Many animal charities are doing this. Almost anything can be ordered on Amazon including some medical supplies like sterile gauze, cleaning supplies, paper products etc. I first found this on The BlindcatRescue Site.

    Hi There,

I recently bought a wooden hide (half of a hollowed out log) at your store. I’d like to clean it before I put it in my turtle’s enclosure. The web suggests using diluted bleach and then baking the log in the oven, but I’m wary of using bleach because it could be dangerous for my turtle. How do you suggest cleaning this item to ensure that it isn’t harboring anything that could make my turtle sick?

    Thanks so much!

    • Katrina Bergman says:

Hi Kate, Scrub it down with dish washing liquid and rinse it really well. Let it air dry in the sun. That will do it. Best of luck. Have a good weekend. :)

Help! I’ve got four robins eggs with nest. We removed all the shrubs from front of house leaving these eggs motherless. Tried putting nest close , but mom never returned. Would be willing to raise myself but need help, or maybe you have room?. PLEASE call me back, if they hatch I’m on my own.
Thanks for your time, Sincerly Paty

    • Katrina Bergman says:

Hi Paty, It isn’t likely they will hatch after they haven’t been sat on by mom for more than an hour or so. :(

I was wondering how or where I can order newborn rabbit food online. Was told by maine wildlife center rabbit expert that I could and cannot find any site to either sell it or let me know how I could possibly make it. Please help…already lost 5 of 6 2 day old newborns and mommy rabbit is not taking care of it herself. Need to save this last one while we can. My children will be devistated if they lose this one. As far as they are concerned the other 5 went to the vet for colds and malnourishment. Have not the heart to tell them the truth. HAVE TO save this one more. TY
